Steve Burtenshaw
A local player who graduated through the Albion Juniors, represented Brighton Schools and Sussex. One of three professional footballing brothers. Born Portslade, Sussex
Bobby McNicol
A local lad and an Inside Forward of promise he joined the club via Doncaster schoolboys XI four season ago, was given a chance at senior level this year.
Jack Bertolini
Formerly of Stirling Albion & Workington Town represented the Northern Section Vs Southern Section 1957/58. An attacking Wing Half with a good shot.
Charlie Baker (Goal)
Signed official when de-mobbed from the RAF in Jan 1960, played for Horsham as an Amateur. Born in Turners Hill, West Sussex. Height 6' weight 11st 12lbs
Roy Jennings
A Swindon born player who was on Southampton's books an amateur. Joined Brighton after commitments with HM Forces, plays as a Centre Half but started as a Wing Half.
Joe Carolan
Signed from Manchester United was an original Busby Babe who plays for Eire. A cool dominant defender has settled into the Albion style of play. Height 5'9, weight 11st 7lb.
Mike Tiddy
Yet another new signing, can perform at Inside Centre or Centre Forward. Played for Boro, Brighton & Darlington before moving to Doncaster this year.
Ian McNeill
(Inside Forward)
Born Glasgow, former Aberdeen Inside Forward who joined Leicester City on March 1956. A clever ball player who came to Brighton on 1959, makes goals for the strikers.
Dennis Windross (Centre Forward)
Yet another new signing, can perform at Inside Centre or Centre Forward. Understudy to Brian Clough he played for Boro last season, where his appearances were limited prompting a transfer South.
Tony Nicholas
A former schoolboy International who joined Chelsea direct from school. Joined the Albion after 5 years in Nov 1960 and has played regularly in the side. Born in West Ham.
Bobby Laverick
Transferred from Chelsea to Everton in 1959 after 5 years with the London club. Can play either Wing or Inside Forward, very fast with a good shot.
